Warehouse Lead

Executes the day to day work activities as directed by the supervisor. Responsible for positively communicating the directions of the supervisor, while leading by example in work efforts to ensure the work flow remains consistent with business needs. Will work with team members to promote and identify safety and continuous improvement opportunities. Responsibilities: Carrying out the Company's organizational values and operating in accordance with applicable laws, regulations, and Company policies are required functions. Essential and other important responsibilities and duties may include, but are not limited to, the following: Under the direction of the Supervisor, provide leadership to the team through effective communications, coaching, appraising, and recognizing. Carry out supervisory responsibilities in accordance with the organization's policies and applicable laws. Continuously promotes safety. (accident review and improvement opportunities) Ensures that work is available for operators and completes tasks on time. Directs flow of material, either inbound or outbound. Gives direction to Forklift Operators or Warehouse Associates to move resources to available work. Coordinates with fleet dispatch on schedule changes, cancellations, etc. May cover in absence of Warehouse Supervisor when needed. Perform other job-related duties and special projects as required. Requirements Job Requirements/Minimum Qualifications: Education: High School Diploma/GED or equivalent work experience Experience: 1 - 2 years Type of Experience: Warehouse Operations Required Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities: 1. Must have strong computer skills including MS Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Access). Demonstrated ability to effectively organize and prioritize workload in a multi-task environment. Must have strong verbal and written communication and the ability to effectively communicate with diverse groups of people. Must have the ability to lead and supervise staff.
