IT Support Specialist II

Overview Method Technologies seeks a Support Specialist II who thrives on troubleshooting, exploring root causes, and ensuring customers feel informed throughout the support process. This role is headquartered in Cypress, CA, and requires a full‑time presence at the office or client sites. Typical Weekly Activities Troubleshoot Microsoft 365 authentication issues Investigate networking outages Work with vendors to resolve application problems Review backup failures Assist with server migrations Deploy hardware for a client Participate in onboarding projects for new customers Diagnose printer DHCP anomalies Act as an escalation point for other technicians Drive troubleshooting efforts and best practices Identify process gaps and train technicians Key Responsibilities Troubleshoot & Resolve Issues Diagnose and resolve escalated Microsoft 365, workstation, server, networking, backup, and business application issues Perform structured troubleshooting and root cause analysis Identify long‑term solutions rather than temporary fixes Maintain accurate documentation of findings and actions taken Escalate issues when additional resources are required Support Clients Communicate directly with clients about support requests and technical issues Provide clear updates and timely follow‑up throughout the support process Deliver a high level of customer service and professionalism Participate in onsite client visits when needed Coordinate with vendors and third parties to resolve technical issues Projects & Technical Initiatives Assist with infrastructure projects, technology deployments, migrations, onboarding activities, and refresh initiatives Support Microsoft 365 administration, server environments, backup systems, networking technologies, and security solutions Participate in client onboarding and implementation efforts Contribute technical expertise to ongoing improvement initiatives Team Collaboration Share knowledge and troubleshooting techniques with teammates Assist other technicians when complex technical issues arise Contribute to internal documentation and process improvements Participate in training and professional development activities Help elevate overall team capability through collaboration and knowledge sharing Why We’ll Want to Hire You Live in Southern California (Cypress area) – local candidates only Strong communication skills – explain technical issues clearly to clients, vendors, and teammates Experience supporting Microsoft 365, Windows environments, networking, backups, and other business technologies Understand that client communication is part of the job – keep clients informed and confident Enjoy learning – technology evolves quickly and we invest heavily in professional development Organized – manage multiple priorities, document work, and track details Take ownership – assignments are followed through to completion Balance speed with quality – efficiency without sacrificing thoroughness Benefits 401(k) and 401(k) matching Health insurance Paid time off Competitive benefits package including 401k, PTO, health coverage, and more Compensation Hourly rate $33.00 – $40.00, depending on experience.
