Groundskeeper / Landscaper

Lincoln-Sudbury Regional High School is looking for a Groundskeeper / Landscaper to perform a variety of grounds work and sports turf maintenance, equipment maintenance and repairs, minor maintenance and repairs to the building. Works with the Athletic Department in conjunction with the sports teams and coaches to ensure the athletic fields are ready for play when scheduled. Helps the School District fulfill its mission of service to its students, faculty and community and protects the capital investments made by the School District in its Public Facilities.


Qualifications:


The position requires the applicant to have an in-depth knowledge of landscaping, horticulture and sports turf management. It is necessary that the applicant possess the ability to operate and maintain landscaping equipment and to have the ability to properly prepare fields for all types of sporting events.

• High School Diploma or equivalent
• Valid Massachusetts Driver's License
• Successful completion of a criminal record check (CORI) and a national background check (fingerprinting)
• Demonstrated interest working in a school environment
• The position requires possession [and maintain] current Massachusetts hoisting licenses for the duration of employment. This will be an ongoing condition of employment and require the candidate to train and test as required to ensure valid licenses.
• Ability to perform emergency and routine repairs and preventative maintenance on equipment
• Ability to work effectively in a fast paced environment independently and as part of a team
• Good verbal and written skills
• Demonstrated ability to perform a wide variety of skilled and unskilled grounds keeping tasks using hand or power tools and related equipment to maintain the property and equipment (verification of ability to perform these functions may be required)

Experience:

• Minimum three (3) years experience in grounds maintenance

Work Schedule:

• Weekday Shift: Monday - Friday
• 6:30am - 3:00pm
• 8.5 hours per day with a 30 minute unpaid lunch

Terms of Employment

• FT 12 Months
• Wages and benefits per the Support Staff Employee Handbook

Salary Range:

• $22.47/Hour - $29.68/Hour
