Maintenance Supervisor – Manufacturing

Reports To: Engineering Manager

Position Summary

We are seeking an experienced Maintenance Supervisor to lead maintenance personnel and oversee facility and equipment maintenance in a manufacturing environment. This role is responsible for preventive maintenance programs, equipment reliability, employee scheduling, facility upkeep, and compliance with safety and environmental regulations. Experience in injection molding, electrical systems, and hydraulics is highly valued.

Responsibilities

• Supervise daily maintenance operations, including electrical maintenance, machine repair, hydraulics, and facility upkeep.
• Develop, implement, and maintain preventive maintenance schedules and equipment repair history records.
• Coordinate maintenance staffing, daily work assignments, vacation schedules, and departmental priorities while minimizing production disruptions.
• Oversee building maintenance, HVAC, roofing, groundskeeping, snow removal, fire protection systems, and security monitoring.
• Ensure maintenance supplies, equipment, and materials are available to meet operational needs and deadlines.
• Lead maintenance projects, troubleshoot equipment issues, and support production operations.
• Enforce company safety policies and procedures, including lockout/tagout, ladder safety, forklift safety, hazard communication, and spill response.
• Coordinate facility inspections and support compliance with OSHA, EPA, ADA, fire codes, building codes, zoning requirements, and water and sewer regulations.
• Maintain fire safety equipment, coordinate inspections, and support emergency evacuation procedures.
• Manage employee performance, disciplinary matters, grievances, and departmental staffing in coordination with management and Human Resources.
• Collaborate with Production, Engineering, and other departments to prioritize maintenance activities and resolve operational issues.
• Attend production meetings, support continuous improvement, and perform hands-on maintenance work when required.

Ideal Candidates

• At least 5 years of maintenance supervisory experience , or 5–7 years of electrical/electronic maintenance or machine repair experience in a lead capacity , preferably in an injection molding facility.
• Associate degree in Industrial Technology, Electrical Technology, or a related maintenance discipline, or equivalent relevant experience.
• Strong knowledge of electrical systems, hydraulics, industrial machinery, injection molding equipment, and building maintenance.
• Experience with preventive maintenance programs, equipment troubleshooting, and maintenance planning.
