Hiring Material Handlers ASAP!!

Join a dynamic team as a Material Handler in a fast-paced metal service center environment. We supply raw materials such as carbon steel, stainless steel, aluminum, and red metals to a diverse range of manufacturing and industrial customers. Our focus is on delivering high-quality metal products efficiently to meet customer demands with a one-day turnaround service. We're looking for candidates that're interested in being trained to operate cranes/forklifts and use metal cutting tools.

Responsibilities include pulling and preparing customer orders, including metal sheets and metal bars. Extensive training and/or recertification on overhead cranes and side loaders, with cross-training on metal saws, shears, and laser machines. Accurately measure, count, and verify materials to ensure order accuracy. Load and stage materials for shipment. Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work area. Follow all safety procedures and company policies when handling materials and equipment.

Essential skills include experience in picking, packing, and general labor tasks. Ability to perform heavy lifting. Good attitude and light mechanical aptitude. Proficiency with measuring tapes, inventory management, and RF scanners.

Additional skills and qualifications include the ability to lift and move materials up to 5075 lbs. Comfortable working in an industrial/warehouse environment. Frequent standing, bending, and repetitive motion required.

Shift: 2nd shift (3PM-11PM). Pay rate: $18-21/hr. Can start ASAP!!

Job type and location: This is a contract to hire position based out of Charlotte, NC.

Pay and benefits: The pay range for this position is $19.50 - $21.00/hr. Individual compensation offered for this position within this range will depend on many factors, including qualifications, skills, relevant experience, job knowledge, geographic location, internal equity, and other pertinent job-related factors.
