Middle Office Operations Associate

Financial Services Firm based in New York City is seeking an experienced professional to join their team as a Middle Office Operations Associate. Responsibilities Support daily operational processes tied to the trade lifecycle across a range of liquid investment products and strategies Perform reconciliations related to trades, cash, positions, and portfolio activity while assisting with reporting validation processes Coordinate with internal investment professionals and external counterparties to investigate and resolve operational discrepancies Oversee settlement activity, lifecycle events, financing processes, and other post-trade functions Ensure accuracy of trade booking, allocations, and related operational records across multiple portfolios Assist with operational controls, exception management, and process oversight initiatives Partner with internal teams to enhance workflows, streamline processes, and support ongoing infrastructure improvements Contribute to system enhancements, onboarding initiatives, and broader operational projects as needed Operate within a dynamic, fast-paced investment management environment with exposure to cross-functional teams Qualifications Bachelors degree in accounting, finance, or related field 3–7 years of relevant experience within investment operations, trade support, middle office, or financial services environments Understanding of operational workflows supporting a variety of financial instruments and investment strategies Experience with reconciliations, settlements, trade support, and external counterparty coordination Strong communication and organizational skills with the ability to work across multiple stakeholder groups Process improvement mindset and interest in operational efficiency initiatives preferred Exposure to automation, reporting tools, or technical systems considered a plus #J-18808-Ljbffr Nextera Search
