Job Title: Certified Surgical Technologist (CST) - Operating Room (OR) Hourly Rate: $45.50 Location: Ithaca, NY

Shift: 7:00 PM - 7:30 AM - Wednesday to Friday (36 hours)

Start Date: ASAP

Duration: 13 weeks

Job Description: We are seeking a Certified Surgical Technologist (CST) to join a team in the Operating Room at a facility in Ithaca, NY. The ideal candidate will have experience and certification as a Surgical Technologist, along with a strong commitment to patient care and safety.

Responsibilities:

• Count sponges, rags, needles, and instruments before, during, and after procedures to ensure accuracy and safety.
• Ensure proper operation of equipment, such as lights and suction machines, during surgical procedures.
• Assist the surgical team with scrubbing in and putting on gloves and masks as necessary.
• Wash and sterilize all medical instruments and equipment following surgeries, adhering to strict sterilization protocols.
• Clean, organize, and restock the operating room after surgical procedures to maintain a safe and efficient environment.

Requirements:

• Certification as a Surgical Technologist (CST).
• Prior experience working in an Operating Room (OR) setting preferred.
• Strong attention to detail and ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to work overnight shifts on Wednesdays, Thursdays, and Fridays.
