Charge Nurse (Weekends Only) - Vernon, CT

We are seeking a motivated and compassionate Charge Nurse to join our weekend Baylor team at Vernon Rehabilitation and Healthcare Center, a 120-bed skilled nursing center in Vernon, Connecticut. As a Charge Nurse, you will be responsible for providing exceptional care to our residents while maintaining a safe and engaging environment. This is a full-time position with a unique schedule, working 24 hours and getting paid for 32 hours every weekend.

Supervise and coordinate the care of residents on a weekend Baylor unit, ensuring that their physical, emotional, and psychological needs are met

Collaborate with the interdisciplinary team to develop and implement individualized care plans

Provide direct patient care and assist with medication administration, treatments, and procedures

Monitor and report any changes in resident condition to the primary care physician and other healthcare professionals

Maintain accurate and up-to-date records of resident care and treatment plans

Participate in quality improvement initiatives and contribute to the development of new policies and procedures

Demonstrate strong communication and interpersonal skills, providing exceptional customer service to residents, families, and colleagues

LPN or RN license in the state of Connecticut

High School diploma or equivalent required

Prior experience in long-term care or rehabilitation setting preferred

Ability to work weekends, including Saturdays and Sundays, with a flexible schedule
