About the Position

Job Title: Registered Nurse Profession: Nursing Specialty: PCU Float Duration: 18 weeks Shift: Night Hours per Shift: 12 Experience: 2 years of PCU experience required License: Must have an active state nursing license upon submission Certifications: ACLS, NIH Must-Have: - Previous charge experience - IV start, telemetry, phlebotomy, and arterial line experience Description: NEO Dates: October & November Starts. Holidays: Must work 2 out of 3 holidays - Christmas Day & Eve, Thanksgiving Day and After, New Year's Eve and Day. Same pay for local candidates. Candidates must have no requested time off and possess a clinical pass. Float pool locations will be assigned upon contract. Candidates must be comfortable working across multiple locations during the contract. Float assignments may include EDIP. Unit accepts first-time travelers. Candidates will float within PCU units as situations permit. Primary assignment will be to our normal PCU float unit. New unit may require cardiology/neuro skills if it becomes active during the contract. Float ratios: 1:3 for IMU, 1:4 for Tele, and 1:5 for Med-Surg. Documentation system utilized will be EPIC and Pyxis. A 4-week schedule will be sent to the nursing staff two weeks in advance. No blocked or self-scheduling is permitted. Two hours before each shift, staff will receive a phone call to inform them of their assigned facility for the day. Candidates may have background information submitted for approval prior to placement. Return staff must be away for one year to return as a traveler. Modules are non-billable and will be completed during orientation and annually.
