Job Description & Requirements Specialty: OR - Operating Room Discipline: RN Start Date: 06/08/2026 Duration: 13 weeks 36 hours per week Shift: 12 hours, flexible Employment Type: Travel Operating Room Registered Nurse - D/E/N Rotating Shift Schedule The Operating Room (OR) Registered Nurse provides comprehensive care for a diverse range of patients, specializing in orthopedics, general surgery, plastics, urology, cardiac, neuro, vascular, ophthalmic, gynecology, ENT, thoracic, oral-maxillofacial, and trauma care in a level 1 trauma center. The OR team utilizes advanced technologies, including 2 Davinci robots, and participates in complex transplant procedures involving livers, kidneys, and hearts. Responsibilities Provide direct patient care and support throughout the surgical process. Scrub and circulate in a variety of surgical cases. Collaborate with surgical teams to ensure optimal patient outcomes. Manage and monitor patient telemetry as required. Schedule This position features a D/E/N rotating shift schedule, which includes on-call/callback responsibilities, as well as working holidays and weekends as needed by the unit. Required Experience / Certifications / Licensure Current RN Licensure in New York State. Minimum of two (2) years of operating room experience in a level 1 trauma setting preferred. Ability to scrub and circulate in surgical procedures. Telemetry certification. BLS Certification (American Heart Association ONLY) is required, ACLS certification is preferred. Experience with specialty cases involving transplants, plastics, and reconstructive surgeries is a plus. Strong orthopedic experience is desirable.
