Do you have what it takes to be a Neurology Medical Assistant:

• Completion of a MA education program required
• High school diploma or equivalent required
• Medical Assistant certification preferred
• 3-5 years of relevant experience required
• Neurology experience preferred
• Active BLS required
• Willing to travel to different offices (Mt. Orab, Wilmington, Washington Court House and Loveland are primary locations)

Medical Assistants are an essential part of our team and make a real difference in people’s lives. They fulfill patient care duties and administrative tasks, liaising between patients and physicians.

• Intakes patients who may have mobility limitations, balance concerns, cognitive impairment, tremors
• Reviews and reconciles medications commonly used in neurology
• Prepares patients for testing or procedures
• Assists providers with procedures and treatments within scope, which may include injections, medication administration, or other clinic-specific procedures
• Provides patient education
• Prepares and maintains clean, fully supplied exam rooms
• Monitors providers In Box and PAQ. Returns calls as directed by Clinician following SOP.
• Coordinates referrals, prior authorizations, and scheduling
