Pharmacy Technician

Description Performs all typical duties of a retail. mail order, specialty pharmacy staff technician as defined by the Montana Board of Pharmacy and local pharmacy drug outlet procedures. Fills physician orders for patient medications under a Registered Pharmacist's supervision. Communicate with and service the needs of the Pharmacy clientele. Has advanced knowledge and skills in one or more specialty areas in the pharmacy. (Advanced skills include specific certifications such as immunization administration, MTM) Why Join Providence? Required Qualifications: Upon hire: Montana Pharmacy Technician License Or Upon hire: Montana Pharmacy Technician Temporary Practice Permit Or Upon hire: Montana Pharmacy Technician Provisional License 1 year Experience (2080 hours) of pharmacy practice 1 year Customer Service 1 year for internal promotion candidate must be competent in all responsibilities of an Associate Pharmacy Technician: (external candidates are required to have the equivalent experience) Preferred Qualifications: Coursework/Training Completion of Pharmacy Technician Training Program. The successful candidate's placement on the wage range for this position will be determined based upon relevant job experience and other applicable factors. These amounts are the base pay range; additional compensation may be available for this role, such as shift differentials, standby/on-call, overtime, premiums, extra shift incentives, or bonus opportunities.
