Production Supervisor

Production SupervisorThe Production Supervisor leads daily production operations to meet safety, people, quality, delivery, and cost objectives. This role translates management priorities into practical floor direction; schedules work assignments while managing performance, attendance, timekeeping, training, discipline, and other HR-related activities. The Production Supervisor ensures employees have the materials, documentation, equipment, and training needed to complete work safely, accurately, and on schedule; monitors shortages and efficiency issues; escalates risks to on-time delivery; and builds employee understanding and buy-in during operational change.Essential duties and responsibilities include promoting a safe production environment, scheduling the production floor, monitoring production status, providing direct supervision for a team, performing supervisory and HR-related activities, identifying training and cross-training needs, managing department efficiency metrics, tracking scrap, rework, quality concerns, and production inefficiencies, partnering with other support functions, supporting the development of production procedures, maintaining a clean, safe, organized, and efficient production environment, and ensuring adherence to company policies, procedures, safety requirements, confidentiality expectations, and applicable regulatory or quality system requirements.Education and/or experience required include five years management/supervisory experience in a production environment, experience working with ISO, Lean Manufacturing, Six-Sigma principles, ability to read and interpret work orders, drawings, bills of material, production documentation, quality requirements, and written procedures, high school diploma or equivalent, and a bachelors degree in operational or technical discipline preferred.Language skills must include the ability to speak, read and write fluent English, and excellent written and verbal communication, organizational, and problem solving skills.Computer skills include experience using computers, email, and internet, experience working with an ERP system required, Epicor preferred, and experience with Microsoft Office suite strongly preferred, especially Excel.Physical demands include sitting or standing, using hands to manipulate small components, reaching with hands and arms, lifting and/or moving up to 25 pounds, and specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, ability to adjust focus, and ability to see color.Work environment includes splitting time working both on the manufacturing floor and in an office environment, occasional exposure to paint fumes or airborne particles, and industrial chemicals, and moderate noise level, though the employee may occasionally be subject to higher noise levels.Quality statement: Amphenol Network Solutions is committed to delivering an extraordinary customer experience that meets or exceeds our customers' requirements and satisfaction as we continually improve the effectiveness of our Quality Management System.We are an Equal Opportunity Employer.
