Data conversion SAP functional business analyst

This position performs SAP Data conversion role and functional IT Business Analyst role. The person should have a good knowledge of SAP including conversion of Procure to Pay, Projects data and General Ledger data, include Master data such as G/L Accounts, Projects, WBS, networks, network headers etc. Acts as a liaison between IT development groups and business units for extracting data from SAP and Enterprise data warehouse, formats the data required to be uploaded in other MS Dynamics. Evaluates new requirements for data extracts, mapping, transformation based on business logic so that data can be extracted from SAP 4.7 system and loaded in MS Dynamics. Under general supervision, solves complex problems requiring detailed knowledge of field and industry best practices. Uses experience and problem solving skills to develop and improve processes. Skills required for this job are typically acquired through the completion of an undergraduate degree and 12+ years of experience . Duties include: Participate in meetings and discussions on new project initiatives throughout all of the phases of typical IT projects under minimal supervision: Perform Project Management Duties Facilitate process-oriented meetings Understand and identify areas for data migration using through functional and technical solutions Distinguish between a reasonable business requirement vs. solution requirement Document the process flow in a swim lane format Prototype solution options theoretically and in an available system Write/Maintain functional specifications for SAP/ERP applications Engage customers to ensure success of deliverables Identify, track, and resolve issues from all phases of the project Communicate project statuses both positive and negative in a concise and meaningful manner Work closely with the SAP/ERP technical developers, basis, security, and other functional analysts for cross-functional delivery of complex solutions Follows established change control procedures including documentation of artifacts as needed.
