Position: Sous Chef
Location: Lancaster, PA
Compensation: $55,000–$60,000

The Role: Lead a Scratch Kitchen

We're partnering with a growing farm-to-table, chef-driven, upscale casual restaurant seeking an experienced Sous Chef to help lead daily kitchen operations. This is a hands-on leadership role for a culinary professional who thrives in a fast-paced scratch kitchen and enjoys mentoring teams while delivering exceptional food and guest experiences.

The Ideal Candidate

• 2+ years of Sous Chef or Kitchen Manager experience
• Scratch kitchen experience required
• Background in upscale casual, chef-driven, or high-volume full-service restaurants
• Strong leadership, coaching, and team development skills
• Passion for seasonal ingredients and high-quality food

Key Responsibilities

• Partner with the Executive Chef to oversee daily kitchen operations
• Lead, train, coach, and develop the BOH team
• Maintain food quality, consistency, and presentation standards
• Assist with inventory, ordering, scheduling, and product rotation
• Help manage labor, food cost, and overall kitchen efficiency
• Contribute to seasonal menu development and daily specials
• Ensure food safety, sanitation, and health department compliance
• Lead by example and work the line during peak service
