Warehouse Assistant

Warehouse Assistant (Wichita, KS) We are seeking a Warehouse Assistant to support our operations team. Key Responsibilities Takes tool orders via email, phone, or verbal. Clarifies list when needed and ensures tools sent to the site match the foremen’s orders. Pulls tools from the tool cage and assembles orders for delivery per the schedule date and time committed by the Operations Manager. Procures any tools not in stock using the Tool Manager for approval and support. Receives tool return tickets from the field. Processes returned tools back into the tool cage, confirms operational status, cleans and wipes them before restocking. Assembles new tools and processes them into tool cage inventory. Tracks tools using COINS software. Aids in loading/unloading of tools on/off warehouse vehicles. Performs other duties as qualified and assigned by the Tool Manager. Performs clerical duties, including data entry. Communicates with project managers to answer questions or look up delivery or return information. Problem‑solves delays in processing. Coordinates the shipping and receiving of freight, notifies appropriate parties when freight has arrived, and assists in locating it. Moves freight around when necessary and maintains a clean, organized warehouse. Works Monday through Friday from 6:30 a.m. to 3:00 p.m. Requirements & Qualifications Minimum age of 21 years old and able to meet DOT requirements. Working knowledge of common tools and equipment used in piping, plumbing, sheet metal, HVAC service, millwright, and electrical construction. Must be able to physically lift and move tools and equipment up to 50 pounds. High school diploma or GED equivalent. Must work well with others and be a team player. Good customer service skills. Strong communication skills. Prompt and courteous. Organized and efficient. Computer skills: must efficiently use Microsoft Outlook, Internet, and basic Microsoft Office applications (Word, Excel). Must satisfactorily pass a criminal background check and drug screen. Preferred Qualifications Forklift experience. 2 years of warehouse‑related experience.
