Medical Assistant Opportunity

Pride Health is hiring a Medical Assistant to support our client's medical facility in Poughkeepsie, NY 12601. This is a 3-month assignment (Possibility of extension or conversion) opportunity and a great way to start working with a top-tier healthcare organization!

Job Details:

• Location: Poughkeepsie, NY & Fishkill, NY
• Duration: 3 months Contract (Possibilities of extension)
• Pay rate: $20 to 23/hr. On W2 (Pay Rate is based on experience /educational qualifications)
• Schedule: 7:30 AM to 4:30 PM (40 hrs. wk.)

  • Tue, Wed & Fri - Fishkill, NY 12524

Job Responsibilities:

• Room patients and prepare exam rooms for provider evaluation.
• Obtain and document vital signs, including blood pressure, pulse, temperature, respirations, height, and weight.
• Enter and manage clinical tasks within the electronic health record (EHR) system.
• Answer and triage incoming phone calls, routing messages appropriately to providers or clinical staff.
• Process incoming and outgoing faxes, ensuring accurate documentation and timely distribution.
• Submit and process medication refill requests per provider protocols and office guidelines.
• Schedule and reschedule patient appointments and procedures, verifying provider availability and patient preferences.
• Confirm upcoming appointments and provide patients with preparation instructions when applicable.
• Maintain accurate and up-to-date patient records in compliance with organizational policies.

Qualifications:

• High School, GED, or equivalent.
• Current, Medical Assistant Certification.
