Pipefitters
Hutco, Inc. is seeking experienced Pipefitters with three or more years of experience in the marine, commercial nuclear, or petrochemical industry. Pipefitters will be responsible for fitting carbon steel, CRES, and copper-nickel piping in demanding environments such as shipboard and sub-assemblies.
Required Experience / Qualifications:
- Ability to read and interpret ship piping drawings.
- Experience fitting carbon steel, CRES, and copper-nickel piping.
- Ability to end prep piping by hand and/or using Wach or Portsmouth machines.
- Knowledge of installing pipe hangers.
- Proficient in using a ruler for measurements in inches and tenths.
- Ability to prep and fit-up backing rings.
- Skilled in clean cutting or breaking pipe with a grinder.
- Ability to hand prep V-bevels.
- Experience fabricating various details and assemblies from drawings.
- Skilled in pipe bending using templates and hand benders.
- Ability to fit welded sockets.
- Ability to fit brazed joints with or without insert rings.
