Trailer MechanicPay: $21.00 - $24.00 per hour (Depending on Experience)Job SummaryWe are seeking an experienced Trailer Mechanic to join our team. This position is responsible for inspecting, repairing, and maintaining a variety of trailers to ensure they are safe, reliable, and operating properly. The ideal candidate will have mechanical knowledge, strong troubleshooting skills, and experience working with trailer systems.ResponsibilitiesPerform repairs and preventative maintenance on trailersDiagnose and repair trailer components including:Air brake systemsSuspension systemsElectrical systemsTires and wheel assembliesReplace worn or damaged parts as neededInspect trailers for defects and identify additional repair needsMount, dismount, install, rotate, and balance tires and wheel assembliesPerform welding repairs and fabrication work as neededUtilize welding skills including gas, aluminum, arc, and wire-feed processesComplete repair documentation and work orders accuratelyFollow all safety procedures and maintain a clean, organized work areaWork closely with the shop team to complete repairs efficiently and effectivelyQualificationsPrevious trailer repair or heavy equipment mechanical experience preferredKnowledge of trailer suspension, brakes, tires, and electrical systemsWelding/fabrication experience requiredAbility to troubleshoot mechanical issues and complete repairs independentlyStrong attention to detail and commitment to safetyAbility to use hand tools and shop equipmentWillingness to continue learning and stay current with industry changesPreferred Experience3+ years of related mechanic experience preferredExperience with commercial trailers or fleet maintenance is a plusPerformance ExpectationsPerform work accurately, efficiently, and safelyIdentify potential issues before they become larger problemsMaintain professional communication and teamworkComplete assignments in a timely manner#albor
