Outpatient Physical Therapist - New Grad

Job Description

The Outpatient Physical Therapist evaluates assigned patients and develops, implements, and modifies treatment plans according to each patient’s needs, goals, and physician directions. This role is responsible for the delegation and direction of all discipline-specific therapy services for assigned patients. The therapist ensures the design of functional treatment programs that allow for effective return to community activities and serves as an educator to patients, families, students, and coworkers.

Responsibilities

• Complete comprehensive evaluations of assigned patients.
• Develop appropriate treatment plans and goals focused on progressing patients toward discharge within an established length of stay.
• Document patient care accurately and timely according to clinic policies and procedures.
• Participate in student programs, providing mentorship and supervision.
• Create individualized professional development plans and pursue continuing education and professional growth opportunities.
• Adhere to discipline-specific state practice acts and regulatory agency requirements.
• Understand and implement the organization's performance improvement methodologies.

Required Experience / Certifications / Licensure

• Degree in Physical Therapy from an accredited school.
• 1+ year of outpatient clinical experience preferred.
• Current CPR certification required.
• Maintain professional licensure in good standing and complete all state-mandated continuing education requirements.

Schedule

This is a 5x8.0 shift position with guaranteed hours.
