Phlebotomist II Float

Overview Phlebotomist II Float – Freedom, CA. Monday to Friday, 8:00 AM to 5:00 PM, with rotational weekends. This role requires a state phlebotomy license (Quest does not accept NHA licenses in CA, WA, NV). The float position offers varied work across multiple patient centers, with opportunities for growth and advancement in a dynamic environment. Pay & Benefits Pay range: $28.85 – $34.40 per hour. Salary may be based on skills, training, experience, education, and certifications. Successful candidates may be eligible for annual performance bonus compensation. Responsibilities Cover assigned territory to perform phlebotomy duties within Patient Service Centers, doctors’ offices, or as business needs dictate. Draw quality blood samples, prepare specimens for lab testing, and collect specimens per established procedures (drug screens, biometric screening, and insurance exams). Enter billing information and collect payment when required. Coach, mentor, instruct new employees, act as a point of contact for staff on site, and provide regular input to the group lead or supervisor. Travel to additional doctors’ office or Patient Service Center sites when needed. Qualifications Required Education: High school diploma or equivalent. Medical training: medical assistant or paramedic training preferred. Phlebotomy certification required in California, Nevada, and Washington; preferred elsewhere. Work Experience: Three years of phlebotomy experience, including pediatric, geriatric, and capillary collections. Minimum two years in a Patient Service Center environment preferred. Customer service experience in a retail or service environment preferred. Keyboard and data entry experience. Must be able to effectively communicate in English.
