Overview We are seeking a dedicated and hardworking Dishwasher to join our team. The ideal candidate will play a crucial role in maintaining the cleanliness and organization of our kitchen environment. This position is essential for ensuring that all dishes, utensils, and kitchen equipment are thoroughly cleaned and sanitized, supporting our culinary team in delivering exceptional food service. A background in food handling or experience in a restaurant, hotel, or catering environment is preferred.
Responsibilities
- Wash and sanitize dishes, glassware, utensils, pots, and pans using commercial dishwashing equipment.
- Maintain cleanliness of the kitchen area by sweeping and mopping floors as needed.
- Assist with food preparation tasks as directed by the kitchen staff.
- Help with bussing tables and clearing dining areas to ensure a clean and welcoming environment for guests.
- Organize and store clean dishes and utensils in their designated locations.
- Follow all health and safety regulations regarding food handling and sanitation practices.
- Collaborate with kitchen staff to ensure efficient operations during peak service times.
- Assist in receiving and organizing deliveries.
Requirements
- Previous experience in food service or kitchen environments such as restaurants, hotels, or catering is a plus.
- Knowledge of proper food handling techniques and sanitation standards.
- Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment while maintaining attention to detail.
- Strong teamwork skills with a willingness to help others in the kitchen as needed.
- Availability to work flexible hours, including evenings and weekends if required.
- Physical stamina to stand for long periods and lift heavy items when necessary.
