***There is a separate BR for local candidates*** Required: • HSD/GED • Flu vaccination (no exemptions/no declinations • BLS (AHA or ARC only) • Medical Assistant Certificate/Diploma from a DAPIP-accredited program OR national certification through AAMA, AMCA, AMT, CCBMA, or MMCI. • Demonstrated ability to prepare patients for examinations by performing preliminary physical tests, taking blood pressure, weight, and temperature, and reporting patient history summaries • 1 year working as an MA in an outpatient clinic or medical office setting • Proficiency with blood/lab draws and venipuncture • Experience with CS-Link/Epic Preferred Qualifications: • 2+ years working as an MA in Pediatrics • Experience with pediatric blood draws and heel sticks • Familiarity with well-child checks and the childhood vaccination schedule • Experience with medical insurance, referral processes, and benefit plans • Phlebotomy certification • Experience with CS-Link/Epic Job Duties: • Greet patients, take appropriate vital signs, review current meds and record in medical record • Assist with tracking and monitoring department specific data • Explain policies, procedures, or services to patients based on scope of practice • Set up exam/procedure rooms appropriate to the patient visit needs • Clean and re-process equipment and supplies following department guidelines • Administer immunizations, injections, or oral medications as directed by provider • Draw and prepare designated lab work or specimens as directed by provider NOTE: These statements describe the primary duties and responsibilities of the job and are not intended to be an exhaustive list of all tasks.
