By equipping the brightest minds with the best resources available, we provide an invaluable edge in real estate.Role Description:We are seeking a Senior Data Engineer to design and deliver scalable data platforms that power high-volume, data-driven applications. This role focuses on building reliable data pipelines, enabling analytics at scale, and leveraging modern AI-assisted coding tools (e.g., Claude Code) to improve engineering efficiency and quality.This position is located in San Diego, CA and has the work schedule of 4 days onsite and 1 day work from home.Responsibilities:Design, build, and maintain scalable data pipelines and data platformsDevelop and optimize ETL/ELT processes for large, complex datasetsBuild and manage data solutions using Databricks and SparkDevelop backend data services using C# /.NETLeverage AI-assisted coding tools (e.g., Claude Code) to accelerate developmentDesign efficient data models and ensure high performance and reliabilityCollaborate with engineering, product, and DevOps teams to deliver production systemsEnsure data quality, availability, and performance across systemsLead technical design decisions and mentor other engineersBasic Qualifications:Bachelor's degree required from an accredited, not-for-profit, in-person college/universityA track record of commitment to prior employers.5+ years of data engineering experienceStrong experience with data pipelines and ETL frameworksExperience building and scaling large data systemsExperience with AWS-based data platforms and servicesPreferred Qualifications:Expertise with Databricks / Apache Spark, C# /.NET, and SQL/database designExperience with AI/ML data pipelinesFamiliarity with AI-assisted development tools (Claude Code or similar)Experience with streaming technologies (e.g., Kafka, Kinesis)Knowledge of CI/CD and DevOps practicesWhen you join CoStar Group, you'll experience a collaborative and innovative culture working alongside the best and brightest to empower our people and customers to succeed.We offer you generous compensation and performance-based incentives.
