Merit Health Natchez is seeking a Hospitalist Physician to join our inpatient medicine team in either a full-time or PRN capacity. This opportunity includes a clear leadership track with potential progression toward Medical Directorship, offering both clinical practice and professional growth within a supportive hospital environment. At Merit Health Natchez, you’ll be part of Community Health Systems, a national network of regional hospitals with a shared mission to deliver high-quality care where it’s needed most — close to home. Position Highlights

• Compensation: $160/hour (approximately $26,880+ per block)
• Schedule: 7-on / 7-off
• Shift Type: 100% daytime shifts
• Volume: ~168 hours/month
• Leadership track opportunity toward Medical Director role
• Flexible FT or PRN structure

• Provide comprehensive inpatient hospitalist care during daytime shifts
• Manage admissions, rounding, and inpatient medical management
• Coordinate care with specialists, nursing staff, and interdisciplinary teams
• Deliver evidence-based, patient-centered treatment plans
• Maintain accurate and timely clinical documentation
• Participate in quality initiatives and care improvement efforts
• Engage in leadership development opportunities as part of the career track

• Board Certified or Board Eligible in Internal Medicine
• Current Mississippi medical license or eligibility for licensure
• Strong clinical and communication skills
• Interest in leadership development preferred
• Ability to work effectively in a structured inpatient environment
