Active Lifestyle Community Cook
The active lifestyle community cook prepares and cooks meals and other food requests based on specific menus on a timely basis, and within a required volume, to meet the food needs of residents and their guests. Duties and responsibilities to include but not limited to: ensure daily efficient preparation of hot and cold food and salad based on predetermined menu in a time manner, using rat/fresh/frozen meats, vegetables and/or other food supplies. Handle proper storage and/or disposal of excess or uneaten food/salad not used or consumed, to meet required health regulations. Actively contribute to success of the culinary team by providing menu ideas, working as a team, and supporting the entire operation. Clean up after each meal including stove/oven, other equipment, floors, and washing cooking utensils to maintain required sanitary conditions/meet health regulations. Perform all other duties as assigned. High school diploma or equivalent prior food and/or service work experience preferred. Must be personable and work well with staff, residents, family members, and general public.
