Job Opportunity – Emergency Department Registered Nurse (RN) – Corpus Christi, Texas

Start Date: September 14, 2026

Location: Corpus Christi, Texas

Compensation: Details provided to qualified applicants

Schedule: 12-hour shifts with rotating schedule; every other weekend required; no on-call

• Day shift: 06:30 – 18:30
• Night shift: 18:30 – 06:30
• Patient ratio: 1:4 depending on acuity

• 15-bed Freestanding Emergency Department (FSED) providing 24/7 emergency care
• Collaborative team environment with RNs and EMT-Paramedics working together
• EMR system: Meditech
• Unit equipment includes Baxter pumps, Hamilton ventilators, GE cardiac monitors, and Stryker stretchers
• Focus on rapid identification and treatment of time-sensitive conditions including Sepsis, STEMI, Stroke, and Trauma
• Multiple emergency departments within the health system; floating typically not required as units are staffed to core

Requirements:

• Active Texas RN license or eligibility for licensure
• BLS (Basic Life Support) certification
• ACLS (Advanced Cardiac Life Support) certification
• TNCC (Trauma Nursing Core Course) or equivalent certification
• CPI (Crisis Prevention Intervention) or equivalent certification
• PALS (Pediatric Advanced Life Support) or ENPC (Emergency Nursing Pediatric Course) certification
• Emergency Department nursing experience required
• Strong critical thinking skills and ability to work in a fast-paced environment
• Experience with airway management and ventilator care preferred

Key Responsibilities:

• Rapid assessment and triage of emergency patients across all acuity levels
• IV starts, medication administration, and wound care
• Splinting and trauma stabilization
• Patient assessments, reassessments, and thorough documentation
• Oversight and collaboration with EMT-Paramedics
• Airway management and ventilator support as needed
