About the Position

Job Opportunity – Emergency Department Registered Nurse – South Texas

Start Date: September 14, 2026

Location: Corpus Christi, Texas

Compensation: Details provided to qualified applicants

Schedule: 12-hour shifts; Day shift 06:30-18:30 or Night shift 18:30-06:30. Every other weekend required. No on-call. Patient ratio 1:4 depending on acuity.

• Collaborative team environment with EMT-P support and multi-disciplinary staffing
• Advanced equipment including Baxter pumps, Hamilton ventilators, GE cardiac monitors, and Stryker stretchers
• EMR: Meditech
• Minimal floating required – facility maintains core staffing across 5 emergency departments
• Comprehensive emergency case mix including sepsis, STEMI, stroke, and trauma identification

Requirements:

• Active Texas RN license or compact state license
• BLS, ACLS, TNCC (or equivalent), PALS or ENPC, and CPI (or equivalent) certifications required
• Emergency Department experience strongly preferred
• Skills in rapid identification of sepsis, STEMI, stroke, and trauma patients
• Proficiency in splinting, wound care, IV starts, medication administration, and patient assessment
• Experience with airway management and ventilators preferred
• Strong critical thinking skills and ability to work in fast-paced environment
