CVICU Registered Nurse - Night Shift

This position is located in West Virginia.

This is a 13-week contract position.

Night shift: 3x12-Hour (19:00 - 07:00), including weekdays and weekends.

We are seeking an experienced CVIUC Registered Nurse with a strong background in activated clotting time management, fresh open-heart admissions from the operating room, and pressure monitoring. The ideal candidate will be capable of handling overflow patients and providing high-level cardiac care.

Responsibilities:

• Direct care for fresh open-heart surgery admissions.
• Management of pressure monitoring and Swan-Ganz.
• Administering and monitoring Impella and CRRT.
• Collaboration with interdisciplinary teams to provide comprehensive patient care.
• Maintaining documentation in Cerner EMR.

Required Experience / Certifications / Licensure:

• Minimum of 2 years of nursing experience in critical care or a similar environment.
• Current RN license (WV or compact license - pending acceptable).
• ACLS, BCLS, and NIHSS certifications are mandatory.
• Experience with device management for cardiac patients (e.g., Impella, IABP).
• Ability to interpret dysrhythmias and arterial blood gases (ABGs).
