Direct Support Professional (DSP) | Weekday Afternoons

Job Summary:

Ameriwell Care is seeking a compassionate and dependable Direct Support Professional (DSP) to support a wonderful adult with intellectual and developmental disabilities. As a DSP, you will play a vital role in providing caring supervision and support to help our individual thrive.

Schedule:

• Monday – Friday

• 4:30 PM – 6:30 PM

• 10 hours per week

About the Role:

Your day will begin by meeting the individual at their day program, accompanying them home, and providing caring supervision and support until their mother arrives home from work. This is a great opportunity for someone looking for a consistent afternoon schedule that makes a meaningful difference in someone's life.

Responsibilities:

• Pick up the individual from their day program
• Safely accompany them home
• Provide companionship and supervision
• Assist with daily routines as needed
• Help create a calm, positive, and supportive environment
• Ensure the individual's safety until family arrives

What We're Looking For:

• Caring, patient, and dependable
• Reliable transportation and valid driver's license
• Experience supporting individuals with IDD is preferred, but we will train the right person
• Excellent communication skills
• Must pass all required background checks
