Base pay range $75,000.00/yr - $95,000.00/yr About Us: A well-established landscape design, build, and maintenance company with 20 employees is seeking a strong business and field. Their commercial and residential portfolio encompasses the greater Charlotte area as well as parts of South Carolina. Known for their high standards and efficient processes, they are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Field Manager to lead and streamline their day-to-day operations. While there is some process-orientation to this role, you will be in the field! Job Location: Greater Charlotte/Matthews, NC Job Type: Full-Time, Direct Hire; FIELD-BASED/OUTDOOR Salary: $75,000 – $90,000/per year Schedule: Monday through Friday, 8-hour shifts, no weekends Benefits: Paid time off (vacation and holidays), performance-based bonuses, medical and other benefits can be discussed Key Responsibilities: Manage daily operations for a growing landscape company Schedule and dispatch 3–6 field teams daily based on skills, location, and customer needs Supervise field staff, office personnel, and project managers Oversee large landscape installations and ensure project timelines and quality standards are met Assist hands-on with maintenance, gardening, mowing/turf upkeep, and installation tasks as needed Procure necessary materials and manage vendor relationships Develop, implement, and review operational procedures to drive safety and efficiency Required Qualifications: Ability to interpret landscape designs and translate them into actionable tasks Solid understanding of landscaping fundamentals, including plant material, irrigation, lighting, equipment, hardscaping (pavers, flagstone, retaining walls), and water features Proven ability to lead in a high-stress, fast-paced environment Highly organized with strong attention to detail Excellent verbal communication and active listening skills Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to “own” your responsibilities Leadership and teamwork mentality Experience with customer service and conflict resolution Results-driven with a passion for continuous improvement Willingness to learn and adapt in a dynamic work environment Preferred Skills & Attributes: Certifications Landscape Industry Certified Technician (NALP) North Carolina Certified Plant Professional (NCNLA) Commercial Pesticide Applicator License (NC Department of Agriculture & Consumer Services) NC Landscape Contractor's License Other Previous or current landscaping business owner/operator Education and/or experience in line with business ownership; the long-term growth in mind for this role is owner or part owner of the business Desire to be in the field overseeing and providing guidance to installation and maintenance crews Strategic and proactive - this role is intended for a current or future business partner/owner Seniority level Seniority level Mid-Senior level Employment type Employment type Full-time Job function Job function Strategy/Planning and Design Industries Facilities Services, Architecture and Planning, and Operations Consulting Referrals increase your chances of interviewing at WorkForce Unlimited by 2x Get notified about new Field Supervisor jobs in Charlotte, NC .
