Position: Intake Specialist - Federal Way Location: Federal Way, WA Job Id: 806 Overview Valley Cities is leading efforts to become a Certified Community Behavioral Health Clinic (CCBHC). The Intake Specialist will screen and disposition service requests, act as a crisis counselor when needed, and provide essential information for referrals and statistical reporting. Responsibilities Screen and disposition service requests from VC. Conduct diagnostic mental health assessments with skill and compassion. Provide client placement at an appropriate level of care based on clinical screening and JCAHO criteria. Ensure consent for services and understanding of client rights for individuals requesting services. Work collaboratively with Front Desk, Care Coordinators, and other staff involved in the intake process. Attain client satisfaction goals as specified. Attend scheduled VC staff meetings and mandatory training. Assist Access Specialist for Intakes in overall program development. Perform crisis counseling duties as required. Qualifications MA degree in Behavioral Sciences or MSW. Must have at least two years of mental health experience. Must be able to obtain Washington State MHP (Mental Health Professional) designation upon hire. Must pass mandatory background checks. Must be self‑motivated and able to work independently.
