About the Job

We're looking for a Material Handler I to safely and efficiently move, receive, store, and prepare products within a busy distribution center.

This is a hands-on role for someone who is comfortable operating a forklift, working with inventory, and keeping a warehouse organized, clean, and safe.

What You'll Do

• Safely operate a forklift to receive, move, and store products
• Load, unload, and transport pallets throughout the facility
• Store and retrieve pallets from rack locations
• Use a handheld scanner to update inventory and product locations
• Inspect incoming products for damage, defects, or discrepancies
• Report damaged or incorrect products to leadership
• Perform inventory counts and monthly cycle counts
• Complete accurate inventory transactions
• Conduct forklift inspections before use
• Perform basic preventative maintenance and report maintenance needs
• Keep aisles and work areas clean and organized
• Remove leftover pallets and debris
• Sweep floors and properly store equipment at the end of each shift
• Follow all safety procedures and participate in safety training
• Immediately report injuries, accidents, equipment issues, or unsafe conditions
• Follow Good Manufacturing Practices (GMPs)
• Follow food safety, quality, and regulatory requirements
• Follow emergency procedures
• Perform other duties as assigned

What We're Looking For

Required:

• High school diploma or GED
• Ability to safely operate warehouse equipment
• Ability to follow written and verbal instructions
• Basic computer skills
• Basic math skills
• Ability to work independently with minimal supervision
• Strong attention to detail
• Reliable attendance and punctuality
• Ability to work scheduled shifts and overtime when required

Preferred:

• 2+ years of forklift experience
• Experience working in a warehouse, manufacturing, or distribution environment
• Previous forklift certification

Forklift certification: Candidates must be forklift certified or able to successfully obtain certification.
