Our organization is looking for a full-time neurologist to join the Department of Neurology, collaborating with MHealth Fairview (a partnership between University of Minnesota Physicians and Fairview Health Services).

• We are in search of a physician certified in neuromuscular medicine who possesses a strong academic orientation.

• This role involves a significant commitment to leading neuromuscular clinical research within an established clinical and translational research framework.

  • We encourage applications from candidates with a background in neuromuscular research, particularly those with existing funding and expertise, including MD PhD and MD MPH holders.

• As part of a multidisciplinary team, the selected candidate will deliver outpatient neuromuscular services at both the University campus and community clinics, which will include:

  • Clinics focused on specific disease states, including multidisciplinary approaches.

  • A general neuromuscular clinic.

  • Electromyography (EMG) services.

• Limited inpatient call coverage will be part of the responsibilities.

• There will be opportunities to mentor and train medical students, residents, and fellows.

• Collaboration with basic scientists at the University of Minnesota on translational research is expected.

• Opportunities to lead clinical research initiatives and trials will be available.

• Completion of an accredited Neurology residency program and Board Certification or Board Prepared status with the American Board of Medical Specialties or the American Osteopathic Association.

• Certification or eligibility for certification in Neuromuscular Medicine from ABMS.

• Possession of, or eligibility to obtain, a medical license from the Minnesota Board of Medical Practice.

• Ability to secure and maintain DEA certification for Minnesota.

• Must meet the necessary criteria for Credentialing and Privileges.

• Strong teaching and interpersonal skills are essential.

This position is jointly employed by University of Minnesota Physicians and the University of Minnesota. The total salary is competitive and aligned with AAMC salary benchmarks. Clinical compensation, which corresponds to clinical responsibilities, is provided through M Physicians. The salary range for this role is between $218,757 and $344,326, depending on experience, qualifications, and clinical full-time equivalent (cFTE). The salary from the University will be based on the academic contributions of the individual hired.
