About the Company Breeze Airways describes itself as the newest and nicest airline and is looking for Seriously Nice Pilots to fly the Airbus A220. Role Overview Breeze Airways First Officers are responsible for ensuring safe and timely flight operations in accordance with all company policies and Federal Aviation Regulations. Key Responsibilities Hold a thorough working knowledge of the equipment operated, the Federal Aviation Regulations governing its operation, and company manuals, Operations Specifications, policies and other instructions. Be responsible to the Captain for the proper planning of the flight in accordance with all applicable weather information and reports, company policies and FARs. Remain responsible and qualified for the assigned flight, including flight and duty time limitations, training, proficiency checks and medical certificate. Perform all duties the Captain may assign in flight. Assess risk and use the proper resources to keep risk to an acceptable level during all phases of ground and flight operations. Employ the CRM concept of assertiveness with respect. Maintain a high degree of proficiency and a thorough knowledge of flight operations, procedures and systems applicable to the aircraft flown. Develop technically and professionally in preparation for transition to PIC. Ensure the airworthy condition of assigned aircraft through appropriate pre- and post-flight inspection in accordance with company policy and FARs. Become familiar with existing and forecast departure, arrival and, where applicable, alternate station weather before each flight. Assist with and ensure proper handling of aircraft, passengers, baggage and cargo at terminal points where other company personnel are not available. Observe the rules of conduct set out in the company Team Member Playbook and Pilot Playbook. Perform other duties as assigned by the company. Licences & Qualifications Licence: FAA ATP Certificate, or Commercial Pilot Certificate with multi-engine and instrument ratings. Current ATP written exam completed if an FAA ATP is not held. Medical: current First-Class FAA Medical Certificate. Valid FCC Radiotelephone Operator's Permit. Pilot training history must be accurately maintained and disclosed in accordance with FAA Pilot Records Database (PRD) regulations. High school diploma or equivalent educational achievement. Experience 1,500 or more hours total time, excluding simulator and Flight Engineer time. 500 or more hours fixed-wing turbine time. Minimum 750 hours fixed-wing time, 500 hours cross country, 250 hours fixed-wing PIC, 100 hours night, 75 hours instrument and 50 hours of actual multi-engine flying. Actively flying in two of the past five years. Preferred: previous US Part 121, US Part 135 or US military aviator experience. Preferred: 500 or more hours fixed-wing multi-engine time, preferably in a jet, and experience using an FMS. Requirements Must be at least 23 years old at the time of hire. Must be able to join a class within six months of application. Must have the knowledge, skills and ability to upgrade to Captain in a very short period of time. Valid U.S. driver's licence and valid passport, and able to travel unrestricted to and from the United States. Must pass a DOT pre-employment drug test. Must pass a TSA-required fingerprint-based criminal history records check and Breeze background checks. Must have authorisation to work in the United States as defined by the Immigration Reform Act of 1986. Ability to read, write, speak and understand English. Excellent oral, written, interpersonal and problem-solving skills, and the ability to facilitate cooperative relationships and work with individuals and teams at all levels of the organisation. Requirements
