Cast Technician

Location: Prosper Medical Office Building Department: Prosper Orthopedics Shift: First Shift (United States of America) Standard Weekly Hours: 40 Summary: The Cast Technician provides specialized orthopedic technical and clinical support within a specialty clinic setting. The role applies, modifies, repairs, and removes casts, splints, braces, and other orthopedic devices under the direction of a physician or other qualified healthcare provider. The role performs Medical Assistant functions to support patient intake, examinations, treatments, procedures, documentation, and efficient clinic operations. The position works collaboratively with physicians, advance practice providers, nurses, Medical Assistants, and other members of the healthcare team to provide safe, coordinated, and age-appropriate care to patients and families. Experience 2 years of experience providing clinical support as a Medical Assistant or Cast Technician including patient assessments, performing orthopedic casting, splinting, bracing, or related experience is required. Education High school diploma or GED required. Licensure, Registration, and/or Certification Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required.
