Communications Coordinator
Bedford, MA
3 year contract
Pay: $40-65/hr
Join a fast-paced, high-impact team as a Communications Coordinator supporting the HR Communications and Change Management efforts. This role is all about turning complex HR information into clear, engaging content—so employees can quickly find what they need and understand what’s changing. You’ll draft, refine, publish, and maintain communications across multiple channels, while also building and updating knowledge resources that strengthen the employee experience.
Required Skills
- Bachelor’s degree in English, Communications, or a related field
- 3+ years of experience in communications, technical writing, or knowledge management
- Strong written, visual, and oral communication skills
- Ability to communicate information in a way that is inclusive, accessible, and clear
- Experience gathering and synthesizing information to develop process maps, workflows, and documentation
- Highly organized with the ability to multitask and manage multiple projects and deadlines
- Strong attention to detail and accuracy
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint)
- Experience with Adobe Creative Suite (Photoshop, InDesign, Illustrator) and comfort contributing across digital channels
- Experience using ServiceNow (Knowledge Base / HRSD)
Nice to Have Skills
- Experience with SharePoint (including SharePoint Online features)
Preferred Education and Experience
- Preferred education: Bachelor’s degree (in English, Communications, or related field)
- Preferred experience level: 3–8 years in communications, technical writing, knowledge management, or related work (more experienced candidates may be considered)
Other Requirements
- Hybrid onsite schedule: Onsite at least 2 days per week (willingness to be onsite more as projects require)
- Clearance: Ability to obtain Secret clearance ; interim clearance is sufficient for start
- Interview process: Phone/Zoom (round 1), in-person (round 2), and possible additional Zoom if needed
- Portfolio requirement: Be prepared to produce a work portfolio after the phone screen and before the in-person interview
