Job Title: Service Technician Job Description

This role involves traveling to various customer sites to install, service, and repair equipment while ensuring high-quality technical support and customer satisfaction. The Service Technician troubleshoots technical issues, performs routine and preventive maintenance, and accurately documents all work performed. The position requires a strong blend of mechanical and electrical skills, as well as the ability to work independently in the field.

• Travel to a variety of client sites within the assigned region to perform installations, repairs, and maintenance on equipment.
• Troubleshoot technical issues by identifying root causes and implementing effective mechanical and electrical solutions.
• Perform routine and preventive maintenance to ensure equipment operates safely, efficiently, and reliably.
• Carry out mechanical repairs, including inspection, adjustment, replacement, and alignment of parts and components.
• Perform electrical repairs, including diagnosing electrical faults, replacing components, and verifying safe operation.
• Install new equipment according to specifications and guidelines, ensuring proper setup, calibration, and testing.
• Document all work performed, including maintenance activities, repairs, parts used, and observations, in a clear and accurate manner.
• Communicate findings, repair status, and recommendations to customers and internal teams in a professional and timely way.
• Follow established safety procedures and guidelines while working with mechanical and electrical systems.
• Maintain tools, equipment, and service vehicle in good working order to support efficient field operations.

• Proven ability to troubleshoot technical issues involving mechanical and electrical systems.
• Hands-on experience performing mechanical repairs, including inspection, adjustment, and replacement of components.
• Hands-on experience performing electrical repairs, including diagnosing faults and replacing electrical components.
• Experience with preventive maintenance practices to keep equipment operating reliably.
• Ability to perform equipment installations, including setup, configuration, and testing.
• Strong general service skills, including customer interaction, time management, and field problem-solving.
• Capability to work independently in the field and manage multiple service calls within a defined territory.
• Effective written documentation skills to record completed work accurately and clearly.
• Valid driver’s license and ability to travel regularly to client sites within the assigned radius.

• Any education related to maintenance, such as technical school, trade programs, or coursework in mechanical or electrical fields, is a plus.
• Certifications related to maintenance, electrical, mechanical, or equipment service are considered an asset.
• Familiarity with both mechanical and electrical systems used in industrial or commercial environments.
• Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality workmanship.
• Good communication skills for interacting with customers and internal teams.
• Comfort working in a field-based role with varying tasks and locations.

This is a field-based position with a regular schedule from Tuesday to Saturday, 7:30 a.m. to 3:30 p.m. The role covers customer locations within approximately a two-hour radius of Springfield, Missouri. You will work at various client sites, which may include industrial, commercial, or similar facilities, and will regularly use mechanical and electrical tools and equipment. The position involves driving between locations, working both indoors and outdoors depending on the site, and following any site-specific safety and attire requirements that apply to maintenance and service work.

This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Springfield, MO.

The pay range for this position is $22.00 - $22.00/hr.

This is a hybrid position in Springfield,MO.
