Labor & Delivery RN

Requirements
- Minimum 2 years recent Labor & Delivery experience required
- Travel experience required; first-time travelers not accepted
- Epic charting experience required
- Valid state nursing license; compact license must be active at time of submission
- Required certifications: BLS, FHM, NRP, AWHONN Intermediate
- Preferred: ACLS

Roles & Responsibilities
- Provide care for patients in labor, preterm labor, and low-risk antepartum settings
- Circulate for C-sections and assist in OB-GYN surgeries
- Conduct triage of obstetrical patients and perform sterile vaginal exams
- Manage and administer medications such as blood products, magnesium sulfate, insulin drips, and heparin
- Provide couplet care including transition nursery assistance
- Attend all deliveries, addressing both high-risk and low-risk situations

Compliance / Notes
- Must commit to working 3 of 5 major holidays: Thanksgiving, Christmas Eve, Christmas Day, New Year's Eve, New Year's Day
- All scheduling requests must be submitted upfront with submittal
- Travelers may be expected to float between sister facilities; refusal may result in termination or forfeiture of guaranteed hours
- References and background checks required; certain verification methods not accepted
