Registered Nurse - Labor and Delivery

Job Description

Job Summary:
Provide comprehensive nursing care to patients in the Labor and Delivery unit, ensuring safe and effective childbirth experiences. Collaborate with healthcare teams to support patients through labor, delivery, and postpartum recovery.

Responsibilities:

• Assess patient conditions and monitor vital signs throughout labor and delivery.
• Administer medications and interventions as prescribed by physicians.
• Educate patients and families on childbirth processes and postpartum care.
• Document patient progress accurately in medical records.
• Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to develop individualized care plans.
• Respond promptly to emergencies and provide necessary lifesaving interventions.

Qualifications:

• Valid registered nurse license required.
• Proven experience in Labor and Delivery or obstetric nursing preferred.
• Strong critical thinking and emergency response skills.
• Excellent communication and patient education abilities.
• Ability to work flexible hours, including every third weekend.
• BLS and PALS certifications required.
