Building Inspector II Details:
- Temporary position
- $36.14 to $52.50 / hour
- Full Time work available
- First Shift ( Monday through Monday from 08:00am to 04:30pm )
- Perform building inspections for residential, commercial, and industrial construction projects to ensure code compliance.
- Review building plans, permits, and construction documents for accuracy and adherence to regulations.
- Provide technical guidance and support to contractors, developers, engineers, architects, and homeowners.
- Conduct stormwater, drainage, erosion, and safety inspections while maintaining detailed records and reports.
- Investigate complaints, violations, and unsafe conditions to help ensure public safety and quality construction.
Building Inspector II Qualifications:
- Minimum 5 years of experience in building inspections, construction, blueprint reading, or a related field. Valid
- Utah Driver License (unrestricted) required.
- Must have ICC Certifications in Building, Plumbing, Mechanical, and Electrical (Residential & Commercial).
- Valid State Combination Inspector License with strong knowledge of building codes, construction practices, and safety regulations.
- Ability to interpret plans, communicate effectively with contractors/public, and use inspection reporting software.
