Construction Project Manager

Position Summary The Construction Project Manager will oversee projects from preconstruction through closeout while serving as the primary leader responsible for project success. This role requires a strong understanding of commercial construction, financial management, scheduling, subcontractor coordination, client relations, risk management, and leadership. The ideal candidate is highly organized, proactive, solutions-oriented, and capable of managing multiple projects simultaneously while maintaining the highest standards of professionalism and quality. Responsibilities Project Leadership Lead projects from contract execution through final completion. Develop project execution plans and strategies. Ensure projects are completed safely, on time, within budget, and to the highest quality standards. Coordinate internal teams, field personnel, subcontractors, vendors, engineers, architects, and owners. Maintain accountability for overall project performance. Financial Management Develop and maintain project budgets. Monitor project costs, forecasts, and profitability. Review and approve subcontractor invoices. Manage owner billings and payment applications. Identify cost‑saving opportunities and mitigate financial risks. Prepare monthly project forecasting reports. Schedule Management Develop and maintain project schedules. Identify critical path activities. Coordinate procurement and long‑lead items. Ensure subcontractors meet milestone commitments. Proactively address delays and recovery plans. Client Relations Serve as the primary point of contact for owners, developers, architects, and consultants. Build strong relationships through communication, transparency, and responsiveness. Conduct project meetings and provide regular updates. Manage client expectations while protecting company interests. Contract Administration Review project contracts and understand project obligations. Manage change orders, RFIs, submittals, procurement logs, and project documentation. Track allowances, contingencies, and contract modifications. Protect the company through proper documentation and risk management. Team Leadership Partner closely with Superintendents and field teams. Mentor and support Project Engineers, Coordinators, and Assistant Project Managers. Foster a culture of accountability, professionalism, and teamwork. Contribute to company growth initiatives and process improvements. Safety & Quality Champion jobsite safety and compliance. Support OSHA compliance and company safety initiatives. Ensure quality control standards are maintained throughout construction. Participate in project inspections and punch list completion. Technology & Reporting Utilize company systems including: Procore, Bluebeam, Microsoft Office Suite, SharePoint, Construction Scheduling Software. Maintain accurate project documentation and reporting throughout the life of the project. Qualifications Required 5+ years of commercial construction project management experience. Strong understanding of construction means and methods. Experience managing multiple projects simultaneously. Ability to read and interpret construction drawings and specifications. Knowledge of project scheduling and cost management. Excellent written and verbal communication skills. Strong leadership and problem‑solving abilities. Valid driver's license and ability to travel to project sites. Preferred Bachelor's degree in Construction Management, Engineering, Architecture, or related field. Experience with Design‑Build projects. Experience with government, municipal, educational, healthcare, or commercial construction. OSHA certifications. Procore experience.
