If you are excited about a role but don't meet every bullet point, we encourage you to apply and join us to create the extraordinary.Job SummaryTo support our extraordinary teams who build great products and contribute to our growth, we’re looking to add a SMT Process Engineer located in Austin, TX.Reporting to the Process Engineering Manager the SMT Process Engineer is in charge for process-engineering capabilities focused on cost, quality and delivery improvements in order to hold up a manufacturing organization.What a typical day looks like:Develop and optimize SMT processes including printing, placement, reflow, AOI/SPI.Troubleshoot defects and lead root cause and corrective action activities.Customer facing experience and technicians training on SMT processesSupport NPI builds, DFM reviews, and process validation.Maintain process documentation and establish process controls (SPC, DOE).Collaborate with production and maintenance teams to ensure stable line performance.Lead continuous improvement initiatives using Lean/6σ tools.The experience we’re looking to add to our team:Bachelor’s degree in engineering2-4 years SMT process engineering experience.Processes test runs and prepares records (breakdown events, scrap, etc.), charts, and graphs of results for presentation to engineering to identify yield problems or test new products.Knowledge of SMT equipment and IPC standards (IPC A 610, J STD 001).Strong analytical, problem solving, and communication skills.Experience with equipment such as ASM, DEK/MPM, BTU/Heller, Koh Young, Nordson.Lean Six Sigma or IPC certification preferredWhat you'll receive for the great work you provide:Full range of medical, dental, and vision plansLife InsuranceShort-term and Long-term DisabilityMatching 401(k) ContributionsVacation and Paid Sick TimeTuition Reimbursement Application Deadline:Applications for this job position will be accepted for at least five days following the job posting start date below and continuing until the end date below or until the position is filled.
