Position Summary

The Physical Therapist will assess, plan, and implement rehabilitative programs that improve mobility, relieve pain, and prevent or limit permanent physical disabilities in patients suffering from orthopedic conditions or injuries. The role involves collaboration with orthopedic surgeons, physician assistants, and other healthcare providers.

Key Responsibilities

• Evaluate patients’ physical conditions and functional limitations through clinical assessments.

• Develop individualized treatment plans based on patient goals, orthopedic diagnoses, and evidence-based practices.

• Provide therapeutic interventions including manual therapy, therapeutic exercises, modalities (e.g., ultrasound, electrical stimulation), and education on injury prevention.

• Document patient progress, modify treatment plans as necessary, and maintain accurate records in compliance with regulatory standards.

• Communicate effectively with referring physicians and other healthcare professionals to coordinate patient care.

• Educate patients and caregivers on home exercise programs and post-treatment care.

• Maintain a clean, safe, and organized treatment environment.

• Participate in continuing education and professional development activities.

Qualifications

• Doctor of Physical Therapy (DPT) degree from an accredited program.

• Current state licensure as a Physical Therapist.

• CPR and Basic Life Support (BLS) certification.

• Experience in orthopedic physical therapy preferred, but new graduates with strong clinical orthopedic rotations will be considered.

• Strong interpersonal, communication, and documentation skills.

• Ability to work independently and as part of a collaborative team.

Preferred Skills

• Experience with post-operative rehabilitation protocols (e.g., ACL reconstruction, total joint replacements).

• Familiarity with EMR systems.

• Certifications in manual therapy, dry needling, or sports rehabilitation (a plus).
