Be one of the first to apply — offer rates tend to be higher at this stage Description American Traveler is hiring an experienced RN for a Labor & Delivery position requiring MD or compact licensure, prior travel experience, and OB triage expertise. Details Night shift, 4x12 hours (19:00-7:30) Rotating holidays and weekends required Block scheduling not available Must work two of the three winter holidays Labor & Delivery unit providing comprehensive obstetric care from 20 weeks gestation through 6 weeks postpartum Unit includes 14 Labor & Delivery rooms, OB Triage Unit, OB Operating Rooms, and OB PACU Newly expanded unit with five brand-new Labor & Delivery rooms featuring state-of-the-art equipment Patient ratio of 1:1-2 Preferred charting system is Meditech Requirements Active MD RN license or compact RN license in hand at time of consideration Minimum 3 years of current, strong Labor & Delivery RN experience OB Triage experience required Active fetal monitoring certification required: C-EFM preferred, or AWHONN Intermediate accepted with C-EFM required if contract extensions reach or exceed 1 year Required certifications: BLS, NRP Preferred certifications: ACLS, AWHONN Advanced Preferred experience in teaching and community hospital settings Skilled in Labor and Delivery management and circulating for C-sections Proof of residency must match candidate's licensure Additional Information Smoke-free facility No radius rule for this facility; local candidates accepted at the same rate as travelers RTO requests reviewed and approved on a per-case basis at time of submission Facility located in Frederick, Maryland, offering a historic downtown, scenic mountain views, and easy access to Baltimore and Washington, D.C.
