Step into a rewarding role supporting K-12 students as a contract Speech-Language Pathologist! In this full-time opportunity, you’ll collaborate with a dynamic school-based team to empower students on their communication journey from now until the end of the school year. Your skills will help ensure each student receives the specialized support they need to succeed academically and socially.
Qualifications:
- Master’s degree in Speech-Language Pathology
- Active SLP licensure for Washington state
- ASHA Certificate of Clinical Competence (CCC-SLP) preferred, though strong CFs will also be considered
- Previous experience in school settings or with pediatric populations is advantageous
- Comfortable serving a diverse caseload across multiple grade levels (K-12)
- Excellent communication, organizational, and documentation skills
- Ability to collaborate with educators, families, and related service providers
Responsibilities:
- Conduct assessments to identify speech, language, and communication needs of students
- Develop and implement individualized education plans (IEPs)
- Deliver direct therapy and consultative services to students in accordance with IEP goals
- Maintain accurate and timely records, documentation, and progress reports
- Attend IEP meetings, parent conferences, and staff collaboration sessions as needed
- Provide guidance and strategies to teachers and caregivers to support students’ progress in the classroom and beyond
- Remain adaptable and responsive to the needs of students across elementary, middle, and high school levels
