Position Overview
We're looking for a dedicated and skilled Ultrasound Technician to join an expanding team of imaging experts committed to delivering top-tier care. You will utilize cutting-edge ultrasound technology to execute diagnostic procedures, work alongside a compassionate group of clinicians, and bring comfort to patients through prompt and precise imaging.
Description of Responsibilities
- Conduct a wide range of ultrasound exams, encompassing abdominal, obstetric, gynecological, vascular, and small parts imaging
- Prioritize patient comfort and safety during all procedures, explaining each phase with understanding and empathy
- Collaborate effectively with radiologists and referring medical professionals to ensure high-quality diagnostic imaging
- Operate and maintain ultrasound equipment, promptly addressing any malfunctions
- Accurately document all procedures while keeping patient records updated in the electronic medical system
- Stay updated with advancements in ultrasound techniques and best practices
Education Requirements
- Associate's or Bachelor's degree in Diagnostic Medical Sonography or a related area
- Preferred completion of a CAAHEP-accredited Sonography program
Certifications Required
- Current certification from the American Registry for Diagnostic Medical Sonography (ARDMS) or an equivalent body
- BLS (Basic Life Support) certification preferred
Skills Needed
- Proficient technical skills in sonographic imaging techniques and patient positioning
- Excellent interpersonal and communication abilities
