Senior Accountant, Inventory and Manufacturing

The Senior Inventory Accountant oversees comprehensive inventory and manufacturing accounting functions. Responsibilities include monthly reconciliation of inventory balances and verification of purchase orders against vendor invoices to ensure accurate and timely payments. The role manages daily inventory postings and maintains accounting for all retail inventory, including reconciliations and amortizations. The position also supports monthly store physical inventory counts and additional accounting responsibilities as assigned. What You Will Do: The Specifics Reconcile lens inventory POs received against vendor invoices using BlackLine. Coordinate with Lab and Distribution Center teams to facilitate timely processing and payment of vendor invoices. Process Wave and Lab billing postings in JDA on a daily basis. Perform monthly reconciliation of inventory balances in the general ledger against perpetual inventory systems. Prepare monthly inventory reserves for obsolescence and shrink. Complete additional accounting and inventory‑related tasks as assigned. Work Experience 4‑6 years of progressive accounting experience. (Required) Inventory accounting experience. (Preferred) Education Four‑year college degree or equivalent experience. Accounting/Finance degree required or equivalent accounting experience. (Required) Licenses, Certifications, Professional Affiliations Certified Public Accountant (CPA) upon hire. (Preferred) Additional Skills Experience with accounting systems. (Required) Experience with AS400/JDA, Oracle ERP, BlackLine. (Preferred) Proficiency in Microsoft Excel, including advanced formulas used to reconcile large and complex data. (Required) Strong understanding of US GAAP reporting requirements. (Required) Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with strong attention to detail and effective interpersonal abilities. (Required) Demonstrated ability to work independently, think analytically, conduct research, perform data analysis, and resolve complex issues efficiently. (Required) Strong organizational, planning, judgment, and time‑management skills.
