divh2Certified Medical Assistant/CMA Womens Care Full-Time, Days/h2pBring your passion to Texas Health so we are Better + Together/ppWork location: 8160 Walnut Hill Lane, Suite 116, Dallas, TX 75231/ppWork hours: Full-time, 40 hours weekly, Monday thru Friday, 8:00a - 5:00p/ph3Womens Care Clinic Highlights/h3ulliStrong teamwork and collaboration/liliFast-paced, high volume inbound/outbound calls/liliCompassion and empathy to our patients and the Team/liliJoin an innovative team working towards making healthcare more accessible, integrated, and reliable/li/ulh3Heres What You Need/h3ulliHigh School Diploma or equivalent (required)/liliCMA - Current Medical Assistant Certification (required)/lili1 year Medical Assistant experience (strongly preferred)/liliBCLS (preferred)/liliAbility to perform EKGs, draw blood and administer injections/liliBasic computer skills using medical management application systems/liliEffectively communicate with staff and patients/liliThorough knowledge of the meaning and use of medical terminology and abbreviations/liliDemonstrate sound judgement in emergency situations/liliTake appropriate action in urgent circumstances/liliMaintain a positive, customer-focused attitude toward staff and patients/liliPossess a strong work ethic and always display a high level of professionalism/li/ulh3What You Will Do/h3ulliDelivers care to patients utilizing the Certified Medical Assistant Process/liliPerforms general patient care by following established standards and procedures./liliGreets and prepares patients for the health care provider./liliObtains and records vital signs including, but not limited to: blood pressure, temperature, pulse, respiration, height, weight, drug allergies, and current medications and presenting problem./liliAdministers ordered medications and/or vaccines via oral, injection, topical, rectal, ophthalmic, and/or inhalant administration./liliMay be required to draw and collect blood samples from patients and prepare specimens for laboratory analysis as well as perform routine tests such as EKG./liliSchedules patients for diagnostic testing and follows up to ensure completion of testing./liliDocuments patient plan(s) of care, tests and examination results in the medical record as directed by the provider./liliCommunicates with patient regarding test results and plan of care by phone or mail as directed by physician./liliPrepares, cleans, and sterilizes instruments and maintains equipment, disposing of contaminated items according to protocol.
