Pet Attendant at our Pet Resort

Job Description

Job Description

Love dogs? Come spend your days with them!

Are you the person who stops to say hello to every dog you see? Do you love being active, working with animals, and getting to know all kinds of furry personalities? If so, we might have the perfect job for you!

We're looking for enthusiastic, dependable, and dog-loving individuals to join our team as Dog Daycare Pet Attendants!

As a Pet Attendant, you'll spend your days hanging out with our four-legged guests, supervising playgroups, making sure everyone is safe and happy, and helping create a fun, positive daycare experience. From energetic puppies to goofy gentle giants, you'll get to know dogs of all shapes, sizes, and personalities!

No professional dog daycare experience? That's okay! While previous animal care experience is a plus, we're also looking for people who are eager to learn, aren't afraid to get their hands dirty, and genuinely enjoy working with dogs.

What You'll Be Doing

• Play with dogs (yes, really!) Supervise group playtime, encourage positive interactions, and make sure everyone is having a safe, fun day.
• Keep tails wagging! Engage dogs in activities, enrichment, and play to keep their minds and bodies busy.
• Get to know our furry guests! Learn to recognize different dog personalities, body language, and behaviors so you can help everyone feel comfortable and safe.
• Help with everyday pet care. Provide fresh water, meals, and medications as directed, while keeping an eye out for any health or behavioral concerns.
• Keep things clean and comfy. Help sanitize play areas, clean kennels, tackle laundry, pick up after the pups, and keep supplies stocked. (Dogs are adorable, but they can definitely be messy!)
• Make pet parents feel welcome! Assist with check-ins and check-outs and help provide a friendly, positive experience for our human customers, too.
• Be part of the pack! Work alongside your teammates to keep our daycare running smoothly and ensure the safety and happiness of every dog in our care.

You Might Be a Great Fit If You...

• Absolutely love dogs and enjoy being around them all day!
• Are dependable, responsible, and ready to be part of a team.
• Have a positive attitude and aren't afraid to jump in and help.
• Are comfortable around dogs of all sizes, including big, energetic, and sometimes rowdy pups.
• Are patient, observant, and willing to learn about dog behavior and safe handling.
• Enjoy staying active and don't mind a little dog hair, slobber, barking, or mess!
• Can communicate well with coworkers and pet parents.
• Have a high school diploma or equivalent.

A Few Things to Know About the Job

We love what we do, but working with dogs isn't all puppy cuddles and playtime! Dog daycare is a busy, hands-on environment, and keeping our pups safe and happy takes hard work.

• You'll spend much of your shift on your feet, walking, standing, playing, and cleaning.
• You'll need to be able to lift up to 50 lbs.
• Our daycare can get loud, messy, and occasionally chaotic (there's a lot of barking and excitement!).
• You'll work around dogs with different energy levels, personalities, and temperaments.
• You'll experience varying temperatures throughout your workday.
• Weekend, holiday, and flexible shift availability may be needed.

Ready to Join the Pack?

If spending your days surrounded by dogs sounds like your kind of job, we'd love to hear from you!

Whether you've worked with animals before or are hoping to get your foot in the door of the pet care industry, we encourage you to apply.

Come help us make every day a great day for our daycare dogs!
