As a Security Officer Full Time Armed Patrol Driver in Taylorsville, NC , you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Government, and more. Join Allied Universal as an Armed Security Professional supporting a government corrections location. You will conduct routine patrols, remain visible to help deter incidents, respond to security-related concerns, and provide professional customer service and communication. This driving post requires a valid driver's license in accordance with Allied Universal driver policy requirements. Pay Rate: $21.50 / Hour

Job Schedule:

What You'll Do:

• Provide customer service to personnel, visitors, and/or members of the public while carrying out site-specific procedures, access-control requirements, and emergency response activities at a government corrections location.
• Conduct regular and random armed patrols of assigned buildings, grounds, perimeter areas, parking locations, and restricted areas, documenting observations and reporting unusual conditions.
• Respond to incidents, disturbances, alarms, and critical situations in a calm, professional, problem-solving manner, following established post orders and applicable procedures.
• Monitor access points and screen or direct authorized personnel and visitors in accordance with facility requirements; report unauthorized access attempts or policy concerns to appropriate personnel.
• Prepare accurate activity logs, incident reports, and other required documentation, and communicate relevant information during shift changes.

Minimum Requirements:

• A valid driver’s license is required in accordance with Allied Universal driver policy requirements.
• An armed guard card or license is preferred.
• Be at least 21 years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Participate in industry-specific security training programs.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
